PROJECT LOCATION:

The project is located in western Jefferson Parish and eastern Lafourche Parish on the southwestern shoreline of Bayou Perot and the southeastern shoreline of Bayou Rigolettes.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The length of protection is estimated to be approximately 44,000 feet. The objective of the project is to install cost-effective erosion control techniques to stop the erosion on the southwestern shoreline of Bayou Perot and the southeastern shoreline of Bayou Rigolettes.

FUND STATUS:

The current project estimate is $27,842,861 , which includes $26,148,602 for construction first costs, and $168,650 and $1,525,609 for 20 years of monitoring and operations and maintenance, respectively.
