CWPPRA Technical Committee Voting Results

BATON ROUGE - Yesterday the CWPPRA Technical Committee met and selected four Project Priority List (PPL) 22 candidate projects to recommend to the Task Force for Phase I Engineering and Design. The first and second vote resulted in a tie; after a third vote, the following projects were selected: North Catfish Lake Marsh Creation, Terracing and Marsh Creation South of Big Mar, Bayou Dupont Sediment Delivery -- Marsh Creation 3, and Cameron Meadows Marsh Creation and Terracing. The Technical Committee also selected two projects to recommend to the Task Force for Phase II authorization and Increment 1 funding: Bayou Bonfouca Marsh Creation (PO-104) and Lost Lake Marsh Creation & Hydrologic Restoration (TE-72). The Task Force may approve these recommended projects for Phase I and Phase II funding when they meet on January 24, 2013 at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' District Assembly Room, 7400 Leake Avenue, New Orleans, LA.
