CWPPRA Technical Committee Voting Results

The CWPPRA Technical Committee met yesterday in Baton Rouge, LA and selected four Project Priority List (PPL) 24 candidate projects to recommend to the Task Force for Phase I Engineering and Design. The following projects were selected: New Orleans Landbridge Shoreline Stabilization and Marsh Creation, Shell Beach South Marsh Creation, West Fouchon Marsh Creation and Marsh Nourishment, and No Name Bayou Marsh Creation and Nourishment. The Technical Committee did not recommend any demonstration projects for PPL 24. The Technical Committee selected two projects to recommend to the Task Force for Phase II authorization and Increment 1 funding: Cameron-Creole Watershed Grand Bayou Marsh Creation (CS-54) and Oyster Bayou Marsh Restoration (CS-59). The Task Force may approve these recommended projects for Phase I and Phase II funding when they meet on January 22, 2015 at the USFWS Southeast Louisiana Refuges Complex (Big Branch), 61389 Highway 434, Lacombe, LA.
