Call for Nominations: 51st Governor's State Conservation Achievement Awards

Louisiana Wildlife Federation (LWF) is accepting nominations for the 51st Governor's State Conservation Achievement Awards. The program recognizes those persons and organizations making outstanding contributions to the natural resource welfare and environmental quality of the community, parish and state. Nominations can be made for conservation achievement in 2014 in these eight categories: professional, volunteer, business, educator, youth, elected official, communications and organization.

The deadline for nominations is February 11, 2015. The awards will be presented on March 28, 2015 at a banquet to be held at Juban's in Baton Rouge. The awards themselves are handsome wildlife statuettes and are unique to the program.

LWF encourages the public to identify and nominate any individual, organization or business demonstrating significant achievement in 2014 in their efforts to conserve fish and wildlife resources, enhance opportunities for citizens to enjoy the outdoors, improve the quality of the environment, and educate and advocate on behalf of our natural resources in Louisiana.
