Whether you are a photographer or a naturalist at heart. . .
LUMCON is pleased to offer the 2015 Coastal Landscape Photography course/workshop.

CLP is offered to enhance participant understanding of coastal environments and the rich coastal culture of Southeast Louisiana. This course can be taken for credit or as an informational workshop. CLP is designed for anyone who has a naturalist's interest or an interest in communicating and documenting our changing landscape through photography.

This opportunity is a week-long course that utilizes the magnificent and endangered backdrop of the Louisiana estuaries to introduce participants to basic B/W photography. Includes training in camera operation, subject composition, darkroom chemistry, and gallery presentation. Applicants are encouraged to have at least a basic understanding of photography and a 35 mm camera.

Dr. Gary LaFleur (Nicholls State University) and Dr. Dennis Sipiorski (SELU) are the instructors for this course and will lead participants in daily excursions to locations throughout the coastal zone of southeast Louisiana.

Participants will stay at LUMCON's DeFelice Marine Center. Vessel time, field trips, and phogograpghy supplies are covered by the course fee.
