[raw_3009364sw.csv] This is a point dataset of elevations over the SW quadrant of the Lake Charles Southeast quadrangle, Louisiana. The data were derived from LIDAR measurements performed in 2002. The data are 'raw' to the extent that they have not been reduced to a 'bare ground' representation; above ground-level features and objects such as buildings and trees are still present in these data. These data were produced for the Louisiana Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Project - Phase 2 of Louisisana LIDAR Data Development: Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana under the Watershed Concepts contract number EMT-2002-CO-0048, Task Order 012. The data are provided as a comma delimited xyz file (raw_3009364sw.csv) in ASCII format. These data are the starting point for the production of 'bare-ground' digital elevation models. The metadata for these data are encapsulated into several documents. The data set includes all the LIDAR data obtained over the 3.75 minute cell area except in those areas where multiple flight lines had overlap. In these areas, only the data from the flight yielding data closest to nadir were retained for this data set. Raw LIDAR data from flights covering the area were seamed to remove overlap areas, corrected to local ground control, and calculated to NAVD88 elevations using Corpscon. 200202 3001, Inc.
