Abstract:
This data set consists of 12 photo mosaics for the following USGS quadrangles - Lake Quitman, Lake Tambour, Lake Felicity, Bay Courant, Oyster Bayou, East Bay Junop, Grand Bayou de Large, Dog Lake, Cocodrie, Pelican Pass, Leeville, and Central Isles Dernieres. The mosaics cover the extent of the most prominent "brown marsh" dieoff of coastal Louisiana. The most prominent areas being affected are the salt marshes between the Mississippi and Atchafalaya Rivers.
Purpose:
To identify and monitor the brown marsh dieoffs in coastal Louisiana.

The scanned frames were mosaicked and rectified using ERDAS Imagine 8.3. The mosaicked frames were then subset to the boundaries of the corresponding quadrangles. The images then converted to tiff and jpeg files both with world files.
