Barataria Basin Landbridge Shoreline Protection, Ph 3
PROJECT LOCATION:
This project is located along the west bank of Bayou Perot and the north shoreline of Little Lake in Lafourche Parish and along the east bank of Bayous Rigolettes and Perot in Jefferson Parish.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The project encompasses about 42,370 feet of shoreline protection.
PROJECT STATUS: (Project Status Last Updated: 22-Sep-2017 )
Construction Units 7&8 were completed in February 2017, with exception of about 400 feet with poor underlying soils. An additional construction contract will be issued to address this 400-foot section.
FUND STATUS:
The current project estimate is $37,598,345 , which includes $37,073,230 for construction first costs, and $133,520 and $391,595 for 20 years of monitoring and operations and maintenance, respectively.
