East Grand Terre Island Restoration TRANSFER

PROJECT LOCATION:

The project is located in south-central Barataria Bay and includes both East and West Grand Terre Islands in Jefferson Parish.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The project will create 114 acres of dune and 239 acres of marsh habitat through placement of dredged sediments. The activities will stabilize and benefit 1,575 acres of barrier island habitat and extend the island life expectancy.

PROJECT STATUS: (Project Status Last Updated: 25-Aug-2008 )

The project is anticipated to be transfered to the CIAP program for construction.

FUND STATUS:

The current project estimate is $2,211,739 , which includes $2,195,342 for construction first costs, and $16,397 and $0 for 20 years of monitoring and operations and maintenance, respectively.
