Black Bayou Culverts Hydrologic Restoration

PROJECT LOCATION:

This project is located east of Calcasieu Lake in Cameron Parish.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Project consists of the installation of ten 10 foot by 10 foot concrete box culverts in Black Bayou at the intersection of Louisiana Highway 384 to allow discharge of excess water from the lakes subbasin.

PROJECT STATUS: (Project Status Last Updated: 19-Nov-2014 )

Project received funding to design the repairs in 2013. Design has been completed and work was advertised for construction in Summer 2014. Construction is anticipated to begin in December 2014 pending contracting decision and award.

FUND STATUS:

The current project estimate is $16,650,327 , which includes $5,043,028 for construction first costs, and $592,664 and $11,014,635 for 20 years of monitoring and operations and maintenance, respectively.
