PROJECT LOCATION:
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Alternative methods of directly creating wetlands using material dredged by hopper dredges for maintenance of the navigation channel will be evaluated.
PROJECT STATUS: (Project Status Last Updated: 01-Jan-1990 )
Current scheme was found to be non-implementable due to inability of the hopper dredge to get close enough to the disposal area to spray over the bank of the Mississippi River. Project deauthorized October 4, 2000.
FUND STATUS:
The current project estimate is $58,310 , which includes $49,528 for construction first costs, and $8,781 and $0 for 20 years of monitoring and operations and maintenance, respectively.
