Raccoon Island Shoreline Protection/Marsh Creation
PROJECT LOCATION:
This project is located on Raccoon Island in Terrebonne Parish
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Eight segmented breakwaters will be installed along the gulf side of the island and dredged sediment will be used to create marsh on the land side of the island.

FUND STATUS:
The current project estimate is $20,880,030 , which includes $17,529,904 for construction first costs, and $420,444 and $2,929,682 for 20 years of monitoring and operations and maintenance, respectively.
