CWPPRA PPL 31 Nominee Voting Results



On Tuesday, February 23, 2021, CWPPRA agencies and participating coastal parishes voted to select project nominees for PPL 31. The nominees were selected from the 62 basin projects, 1 eligible coastwide project, and 1 demostration project were proposed during the Regional Planning Team (RPT) meetings held on February 2-February 4, 2021.

The vote resulted in two projects tied for 2nd place in the Mermentau Basin. The tied projects will move forward as PPL 31 nominees. The nominees consist of 21 basin projects, 1 coastwide project, and 1 demonstration project.

The PPL 31 nominees will be preliminarily evaluated by the CWPPRA Workgroups and narrowed down at the April 1, 2021 Technical Committee meeting to the PPL 31 candidate projects, which will consist of 10 basin projects (potentially including a coastwide project and demonstration). Public comment will be solicited at the April Technical Committee meeting prior to the Committee's vote.
