September 2021 CWPPRA Technical Committee Electronic Vote

As a result of the Hurricane Ida impacts in Southeast LA on 29 August 2021, the September CWPPRA Technical Committee meeting was cancelled. By Technical Committee decision, it was resolved that an electronic vote would take place in lieu of rescheduling the September Technical Committee meeting. On 22 September 2021, Mr. Mark Wingate formally requested an electronic vote on the following motions:
  1. The CWPPRA Technical Committee recommends approval of the final draft of the 2021 CWPPRA Report to Congress.

  2. The CWPPRA Technical Committee recommends approval of the requested changes and revisions to the scope change procedures in the CWPPRA SOP.

  3. The CWPPRA Technical Committee recommends approval of the Ten-Year Support Programmatic Project for Signage in the amount of $2,767,206.00.

  4. The CWPPRA Technical Committee recommends approval of the request for the first three years of incremental funding for the Support Programmatic Project for Signage in the amount of $703,878.00.

  5. The CWPPRA Technical Committee recommends approval of the request for a 20-Year Project Life Extension of the Replace Sabine Refuge Water Control Structures at Headquarters Canal, West Cove Canal and Hog Island Gully (CS-23) Project.

  6. The CWPPRA Technical Committee recommends approval of a change in scope for the Island Road Marsh Creation and Nourishment (TE-117) Project.

  7. The CWPPRA Technical Committee recommends approval of the request to transfer $19,354.00 from the Four Mile Marsh Creation and Terracing (TV-18) Project’s approved O&M budget to its approved Monitoring budget to fund two years of CRMS photography analysis deemed important for final reporting for this project.

  8. The CWPPRA Technical Committee recommends approval of the request to increase the Monitoring budget in the amount of $114,024.21 and increase the O&M budget in the amount of $43,789.00 for the Brady Canal Hydrologic Restoration (TE-28) Project to reconcile past expenditures in advance of financial closeout.

  9. The CWPPRA Technical Committee recommends approval of the request for a one-year time extension and O&M budget increase in the amount of $81,786.00 for the Bayou Chevee Shoreline Protection (PO-22) Project.

  10. The CWPPRA Technical Committee recommends approval of the request for FY24 incremental funding for administrative costs for cash flow projects in the amount of $80,954.00.

  11. The CWPPRA Technical Committee recommends approval of the request for technical services for the CWPPRA program in the amount of $216,546.00.

  12. The CWPPRA Technical Committee recommends approval of the request for FY24 O&M incremental funding for PPL 9+ Projects in the total amount of $2,486,543.00.

  13. The CWPPRA Technical Committee recommends approval of the request for FY24 O&M incremental funding for PPL 1-8 Projects in the total amount of $2,120,845.00 and budget increases in the total amount of $124,797.00.

  14. The CWPPRA Technical Committee recommends approval of the request for FY24 Monitoring incremental funding for PPL 9+ Projects in the total amount of $1,454,590.00.

  15. The CWPPRA Technical Committee recommends approval of the request for FY24 Monitoring incremental funding for PPL 1-8 Projects in the total amount of $314,269.21.

  16. The CWPPRA Technical Committee recommends approval of the request for FY24 Monitoring incremental funding for the Coastwide Reference Monitoring System (CRMS) in the total amount of $10,000,000.00.

The Technical Committee members reviewed each motion as stated above, and on 29 September 2021, all motions were approved and passed by the Technical Committee.
