On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, the CWPPRA agencies and participating coastal parishes submitted their votes to select project nominees for PPL36. The 20 project nominees were selected from the nearly 40 projects proposed across all basins during the Regional Planning Team (RPT) meetings held February 3, 4, 5, 2026.

The PPL36 nominees will be preliminarily evaluated by the CWPPRA Workgroups and narrowed down at the April 9, 2026 Technical Committee meeting to a list of up to ten PPL36 candidate projects. Public comment will be solicited at the April Technical Committee meeting prior to the Committee’s vote.
