The project will protect the newly refurbished beaches and wetlands of Raccoon Island and protect back barrier and mainland marshes with six segmented breakwaters.

The current project estimate is $1,788,103 , which includes $1,573,970 for construction first costs, and $192,384 and $21,749 for 20 years of monitoring and operations and maintenance, respectively.
