  • This data set consists of unsupervised classification of land and water for the year 2000 for the CWPPRA project, Black Bayou Hydrologic Restoration (CS-27). The data are generated using color infrared mosaicked imagery for that year. The data are used by project managers for each site in order to get a general overview of land loss. This data can be compared to the same type of data from previous years to conduct trend analysis.

  • This data set consists of mosaicked color infrared 2000 aerial photogrpahy for the CWPPRA project, Black Bayou Hydrologic Restoration (CS-27). The data are used as base map data for either land/water analysis and/or habitat change analysis. The imagery also serves as a visual tool for project managers to assist them in land loss or any other obvious problems within the project boundary.

Wetland Value Assessment

  • Project Area (acres): 25529
  • Average Annual Habitat Units*: 2812
  • Acres Created / Restored: 2960
  • Acres Protected: 634
  • Total Net Acres: 3594

* Habitat Units represent a numerical combination of habitat quality (Habitat Suitability Index) and habitat quantity (acres) within a given area at a given point in time. Average Annual Habitat Units represent the average number of Habitat Units within any given year over the project life for a given area.
