  • This data set consists of an unsupervised classification of land and water for the year 1996 for the CWPPRA project, Freshwater Bayou Canal Bank Stabilization (ME-13). The data are generated using color infrared mosaicked imagery for that year. The data are used by project managers for each site in order to get a general overview of land loss. The data can be compared to the same data from previous years to conduct trend analysis.

  • This data set consists of mosaicked color infrared 1996 aerial photography for the CWPPRA project, Freshwater Bayou Canal Bank Stabilization (ME-13). The data are used as base map data for either land/water analysis and/or habitat change analysis. The imagery also serves as a visual tool for project managers to assist them in land loss or any other obvious problems within the project boundary.
Wetland Value Assessment
  • Project Area (acres): 1724
  • Average Annual Habitat Units*: 248
  • Acres Created / Restored: 0
  • Acres Protected: 511
  • Total Net Acres: 511

* Habitat Units represent a numerical combination of habitat quality (Habitat Suitability Index) and habitat quantity (acres) within a given area at a given point in time. Average Annual Habitat Units represent the average number of Habitat Units within any given year over the project life for a given area.
