  • This data set consists of an unsupervised classification of land and water for the year 1997 for the CWPPRA project, Boston Canal Shoreline Stabilization (TC-09). The data are generated using color infrared mosaicked imagery for that year. The data are used by project managers at each site in order to get a general overview of land loss. This can may also be compared to the same type of data from previous years to conduct trand analysis.

Wetland Value Assessment
  • Project Area (acres): 466
  • Average Annual Habitat Units*: 78
  • Acres Created / Restored: 0
  • Acres Protected: 378
  • Total Net Acres: 378

* Habitat Units represent a numerical combination of habitat quality (Habitat Suitability Index) and habitat quantity (acres) within a given area at a given point in time. Average Annual Habitat Units represent the average number of Habitat Units within any given year over the project life for a given area.
